Learn With the pros!

Thank you for choosing The Rock Shop to suit your musical needs!  We are happy to have you as our valued customer and look forward to serving you well into the future!  Please read through the entire policy to see what special deals you may be eligible for and what policies may affect you.
Tuition: Tuition is paid monthly and is $200 per month or $50 per half hour lesson. This includes 4 half hour lessons per month one-on-one with the instructor.  In the event of a month that includes 5 lessons, the tuition is pro rated. The student chooses the day of the week and a time slot is then reserved for that student with an initial payment equivalent to one months’ tuition.  Tuition is due on the 1st lesson of the month.  If you can not pay by the second lesson of the month a $10 late fee will be assessed to your account.  Tuition can be paid in cash or credit cards.   A credit card must be given and will be kept on file.
Cancellations: We understand that there are times when the students must cancel due to other obligations.  In the event of a cancellation we schedule a make-up lesson for the student.  We require a 24 hour notice before a cancellation to receive a make-up otherwise the lesson is forfeited.  Each student is allotted one make-up per month.  Our instructors get paid regardless of whether the student is present or not.  In the event of an instructor cancellation you will be given the option of studying with a substitute or waiting for a make-up with the students’ normal instructor.  Extreme circumstances are always considered.
If you are sick, please stay home! We will offer a virtual lesson via zoom, or a recorded lesson that will be sent to the email address we have on file.
Quitting: If you choose to no longer study with The Rock Shop Nyack, please tell us.  We do not ever want to operate under the assumption that you will be coming in when you are not.  Our instructor will be here if you are on his/her schedule and will be paid regardless of your presence.  Please be considerate that the students’ instructor needs as much notice as you would.
